Community League of the Heights Apartment Details

The Community League of the Heights, or CLOTH, works to preserve and develop the housing stock of Southern Washington Heights for low-income families and individuals. They rehabilitate existing projects and work on new construction projects to make available even more affordable housing  units for rent. Most of these units have been developed with equity raised from Low Income Housing Tax Credits, targeted to low-income households earning less than 60% of the Area Median Income, and all projects projects are marketed in accordance with HPD’s and HUD Fair Housing Guidelines. Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.

Apartment Rates
We provide current apartment rates on many listing pages. Most HUD listings do not have published rates. They are based on 30% of the renters adjustable gross income. You will need to contact the apartments to determine if you qualify for income based rent.
