Lake Wales Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and the eligibility requirements are set by HUD. The Housing Authority currently manages 140 Public Housing Rentals and 72 Vouchers. There may be a waiting lists for rentals or vouchers and at times the lists may close to new applicants due to the overwhelming need for housing assistance and the size of the waiting lists.
