Salem Housing Authority Apartment Details

Salem Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of programs such as Low Rent Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program - Section 8. These programs are income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD. Do you know if there is a waiting list?

Yes. According to the Salem Housing Authority the average wait time for a unit in it's Elderly/Disabled housing is 18 months. However for myself it was 4.5 years and I found that to be true for most of my neighbors. I have no idea how long the wait time is for the family housing.

Definitely! If someone out there is thinking of moving into the Salem authorities housing please try these apartments! There great! And many things included into these small apartments! and a very quit environment!
