Sereno Village offers apartment properties under the Section 42, LIHTC (Low Income Tax Credit) program.
The rents are based on the Area Medium Income (AMI) and tenant-based utility allowances. At least 20% of these apartments must provide low rates for low-income tenants.
The program is designed for individuals and families with moderate incomes, allowing below-market rents for those who qualify.
** It is not a subsidized housing program, as each resident is responsible for their full amount of rent each month. Rental amounts are based on the pre-set income limits in the geographic area and not based on your individual household income.
To be income eligible, your total household ‘gross' income must be less than the pre-set income limit for the area.

Affordable development project on a five-acre site near the former Mare Island shipyard in northern Vallejo. The 125-unit affordable community is comprised of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units for low-income families.
