Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 6:00pm
Friday 8:30am to 12pm
Provides assistance for very low income families and individuals for housing needs who meet eligibility requirements.
Provides public housing and section 8 vouchers.
For Public Housing
If you are interested in applying for public housing you can pick up the housing application at 1201 Thorpe Lane near the H-E-B.
 
Whenever you bring your housing application back, all of the following documents are required:
    Birth certificates for all family members,
    Social Security cards for all family members,
    Picture ID for family members over 18 years of age,
    Proof of income (Wages, SS, SSI, TANF, Retirement, and Child Support)

Everything that we have is by a waiting list. The waiting period ranges from about 3 to 12 months. We do not provide emergency assistance.
Section 8 - The Waiting List is currently closed.

Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.

Apartment Rates
We provide current apartment rates on many listing pages. Most HUD listings do not have published rates. They are based on 30% of the renters adjustable gross income. You will need to contact the apartments to determine if you qualify for income based rent.
