Housing Programs Provided
Caritas of Austin believes that stable housing is the first priority in helping people transition our of crisis toward self-sufficiency. Our housing programs are focused on serving people who do not have a stable place to call home. Some have just become homeless and are living in a shelter or car, and others have been living on the streets for years. Our goal is to help people transition to stable, permanent housing they can afford.

Permanent Supportive Housing
Caritas of Austin's Permanent Supportive Housing programs provide housing and onsite supportive services for chronically homeless, disabled individuals. The physical, psychological, and emotional impact of experiencing long-term homelessness is devastating.  But a permanent, stable home with onsite support of a case manager and other resources can transform a person's wellbeing and life journey. Caritas of Austin currently has five supportive housing programs which house more than 150 individuals each year.

Housing Stability
Caritas of Austin provides Housing Stability services to families and individuals who are experiencing short-term homelessness in order to help them return to stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency.  Caritas' Housing Stability services meet people in their time of greatest need and work to rapidly re-house them and provide case management services to ensure people have the tools and opportunities to maintain stable housing.
