Lafayette Housing Authority Apartment Details

Lafayette Housing Authority is managed by the Auburn Housing Authority. The LHA provides housing assistance to low income residents in the area through the management of Low Rent Public Housing. Currently the LHA manages over 100 apartments located in four communities. These communities are Green Homes, Stephens Homes, Hilltop Apartments and Jenkins Apartments. These rentals are income based and the eligibility requirements are set by HUD. There may be a waiting list for some of these apartments. If you are in need of housing assistance in the area please contact the Housing Authority directly to obtain more information about program eligibility, availability of rentals and their application procedures. The Lafayette office is available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm to assist you.

Most low income apartments have waiting lists. Some of these lists can take years until you can be called for openings. The key is to try to get on as many waiting lists as possible.

Apartment Rates
