Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program
Occupancy in Section 202 housing is open to any very low-income household comprised of at least one person who is at least 62 years old at the time of initial occupancy.
Section 811 - Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities
The Section 811 program allows persons with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the community by subsidizing rental housing

IEH provides 165 apartments in which the low income elderly and the disabled of the Vineyard have found a home. IEH has four campuses: Hillside Village and Love House in Vineyard Haven and Woodside Village and Aidylberg Village in Oak Bluffs. Woodside Village has 95 apartments, Hillside Village 55, Aidylberg Village 10 and Love House 5.

Eligibility
If you qualify, rental assistance means that you pay rent not exceeding 30% of your adjusted monthly income. The rental assistance program is subsidized by the federal government.    Please call the office at 508-693-7557 to get the most current income limits for eligibility.
HUD
To be eligible for one of our HUD-funded units, an applicant must be at least 62 years of age and meet the income guidelines.
USDA-Rural Development
Hillside Village I accepts applications from elderly, as well as from non-elderly persons with disabilities with very low, low and moderate incomes.

This apartment accepts HUD subsidies. For HUD subsidized apartments, if you qualify for low income housing and they have available apartments, rent is based on 30% of your Adjusted Gross Income. Call for details.
