Designed to look like a manor home in a non-institutional setting, Fuller Gardens provides a thriving family-like community for adults with developmental disabilities. The property is adjacent to and connected by a gate to Fuller Lodge, that also provides affordable housing for adults with developmental disabilities.
The apartments are contained in a single two-story building serviced by an elevator. Laundry facilities, storage space and a multi-purpose room for residents are part of this community. Outdoor amenities include patio space, an orchard and lawn, and raised planter gardens. Gardens and artwork were provided through various non-profits across the Bay Area.
One-on-one case management, instruction in living skills and vocational training are available to Fuller Gardens’ residents. Shopping can be found within a few minutes’ walk, and transit is available for further destinations. Five parks including the Oakland Zoo are within a thirty-minute drive.
