Dunbar Village is a Public Housing Community that sits on approximately seventeen acres of land in the center of the Coleman Park Subdivision. There are currently 226 apartments within Dunbar Village with 9 more townhouse style apartment homes being added as part of a redevelopment project of the community. The West Palm Beach Housing Authority owns and operates Dunbar Village which was built in 1940 and was named for the poet Paul Laurence Dunbar. The apartments buildings in the community are set up in a Army Barrack style configuration. This community was one of the first Public Housing sites in Florida for low income families, There may be a waiting list to rent at Dunbar Village, please contact the West Palm Beach Housing Authority for more information about pricing, availability and application procedures if you are interested in renting at this location.
