Vernon Ashley Plaza was the first federally funded two hundred (200), unit property built by the Hialeah Housing Authority. Vernon Ashley Plaza is comprised of one hundred and fifty-three (153) efficiencies and forty-six (46) one (1) bedroom units located at 70 East 7th Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. This property was named in honor of Mr. Vernon Ashley, whom was a former Councilman of the City of Hialeah for over twelve years and very instrumental in establishing the growth of the Hialeah Housing Authority.
