Housing And Neighborhood Development Services Of Central Florida Was Founded To Provide Affordable Housing And Housing Counseling Services To Very-Low, Low- And Moderate Income Residents Of Central Florida And To Assist The Local Counties In Developing The Housing Element Of Their Growth Management Plan, And Assistance In The Production Of Affordable Single And Multifamily Housing.

HANDS is here to assist you in improving your credit and maintaining a budget to help you qualify for an affordable home loan. HANDS provides comprehensive, private housing counseling sessions in Orlando and the mass homeownership education seminars necessary to receive down payment assistance (like NSP and SHIP) from Central Florida cities and counties. Also help families avoid mortgage foreclosure and predatory loans. Foreclosure prevention counseling is always FREE regardless of household income.

The agency also operates an Affordable Housing Resource Center through this website, providing information and counseling session scheduling, all mostly free of cost, to very-low, low and moderate income persons in search of affordable rentals and homes. The organization serves over 4,000 Central Florida residents per year, mainly residents of Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake Counties.
