Yes. All apartments have deadbolts and slide locks on main entrance doors. Sliding door and all windows have working locks as well. Very family friendly!

Pets are allowed with a dr note stating it would be beneficial or it is an emotional support animal. When I moved in 4 years ago there were hardly any dogs. Now it seems every apartment has a dog. I have seen many different breeds from pit mixes to a Shar Pei. And the Shar Pei was not a friendly dog.
