The monthly rent of the apartments is determined by taking into account the areas income and the size of the apartment. The going rental market rates are also considered. The rents are not allowed to exceed market values for the area but they can fluctuate and adjust.
Rivertown Place is the second phase of West Rivertown, which Eden Housing developed in Antioch in 2003. Both of these developments are within walking distance of Antiochs revitalized historic river front district for shopping, restaurants and services. The housing is near public transit, elementary, intermediate and high schools, as well as public parks and a community center. Rivertown Place is a community of ten two-story and three story townhouse-style apartment buildings and one community building. All 40 of the units have dishwashers and garbage disposals. The 1,856 sq. ft. community building includes a property management office, a computer learning center/service coordinator office, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a maintenance shop and a laundry facility. Amenities include a patio adjacent to the community building with two barbeques and picnic tables for the tenants enjoyment. The community has a nearly 1,600 sq. ft. lawn area adjacent to the community building, and two play structures: one designed for children ages 2-5 and another designed for children ages 5-12.

Rivertown Place Apartments offers apartment properties under the Section 42, LIHTC (Low Income Tax Credit) program.
The rents are based on the Area Medium Income (AMI) and tenant-based utility allowances. At least 20% of these apartments must provide low rates for low-income tenants.
The program is designed for individuals and families with moderate incomes, allowing below-market rents for those who qualify.
** It is not a subsidized housing program, as each resident is responsible for their full amount of rent each month. Rental amounts are based on the pre-set income limits in the geographic area and not based on your individual household income.
To be income eligible, your total household gross income must be less than the pre-set income limit for the area.
