Gilman housing trust is a collaboration of community residents, business, and local government that creates and preserves affordable housing for people with low and moderate-incomes, increases homeownership opportunities, and facilitates community development and renewal in the rural "northeast kingdom" of Vermont.
It accomplishes this through the development and management of high quality affordable rental housing, providing education and counseling for home-buyers, providing technical assistance and low interest loans for housing rehabilitation to homeowners, and through restoration of historic properties. .
