The Y-House provides 42 units of secure, clean Single Room Occupancy housing for low income single adults. Rent includes heat, hot water, electricity and a membership to the Torrington Y.

Y House provides Section 42, LIHTC (Low Income Tax Credit) apartment properties. rents are based upon the Area Medium Income (AMI) and tenant based utility allowances. At least 20% of these apartments must provide these low rates for low-income tenants.

All rooms are furnished with a twin bed, bureau, chair, desk, mini-fridge and microwave. Rooms also include a closet and private bathroom with a shower. Coin operated laundry is available on each floor as well as a shared kitchen and lounge.
Located near downtown Torrington, within walking distance of Candy Striper Bus Line, dining, supermarkets, medical facilities and entertainment.
